A massive scandal has rocked mainstream networks! đ± Critics accuse Sky News of âgaslightingâ by focusing on âhypotheticalâ violence while burying real, on-camera death threats against Tommy Robinson.
Controversy is intensifying over the mainstream mediaâs coverage of the âUnite the Kingdomâ rally in London. Independent media channels are accusing major networks, specifically Sky News, of displaying systemic bias. Critics argue that mainstream outlets are disproportionately focusing on minor arrests and hypothetical violence at the patriot rally, while simultaneously ignoring explicit, violent threats made by counter-protesters against the eventâs organizer, Tommy Robinson.

THE ALLEGATIONS OF MEDIA GASLIGHTING A recent broadcast from the Parliament Watch channel highlighted what it claims is a stark disparity in how different  political demonstrations are reported in the UK. The channelâs host accused Sky News and the broader mainstream media of attempting to âgaslightâ the public into believing the âUnite the Kingdomâ rally is inherently dangerous.
The host pointed out that while hundreds of thousands of people attended the rally peacefully, mainstream networks focused heavily on a minimal number of arrests. âThey talk and highlight about arrests when thereâs hundreds of thousands of people in attendance,â the host noted, emphasizing the peaceful nature of the vast majority of the crowd.
SKY NEWS COVERAGE IN QUESTION To illustrate the point, the broadcast analyzed a segment of Sky News coverage. In the clip, the Sky News presenter and a security analyst discussed the logistics of crowd control. The analyst noted that 11 arrests had been made âso farâ out of the massive crowd .
However, critics took issue with the presenterâs line of questioning, which focused heavily on âhypotheticalâ violence. The presenter asked the analyst to explain how police would deal with a âskirmishâ or a âfightâ breaking out in the middle of the âbig throng of peopleâ. The Parliament Watch host argued that this focus on hypothetical violence serves to unfairly stigmatize the attendees and paint a false picture of the eventâs atmosphere.
VIOLENT THREATS FROM COUNTER-PROTESTERS IGNORED? The core of the bias accusation centers on the mainstream mediaâs alleged failure to report on explicit threats made by counter-protesters. The Parliament Watch broadcast played footageâwhich has been circulating on independent networksâshowing individuals identified as âpro-Palestineâ counter-protesters aggressively confronting a cameraman.
In the audio, a protester can be distinctly heard shouting, âShould we shoot Tommy Robinson in the neck?â . The reporter on the scene confirmed the nature of the threats, stating: âSo theyâve just said that they want to hang Tommy Robinson and shoot him in the neck like Charlie Kirk.â .
The reference to Charlie Kirk, an American conservative commentator who was assassinated seven months prior, elevates the rhetoric from a general insult to a specific, violent threat.
A DIVIDED NARRATIVE The Parliament Watch host concluded the broadcast by asserting that the mainstream media is deliberately ignoring the violence incited by the counter-protesters in order to maintain a narrative that the âUnite the Kingdomâ rally is the primary source of disruption. âSee the difference on how things are reported on? There is a clear bias,â the host stated .
As the debate over the rally continues, the scrutiny of media coverage highlights a deep and growing distrust between independent political movements and traditional news outlets in the UK
