Nick Ferrari launched a scathing attack on Keir Starmer over his response to the death of Henry Nowak. Nowak, 18, was stabbed and killed by Vickrum Digwa, 23, in December 2025. Digwa had lied to police about being the victim of a racist attack, leading officers to handcuff and arrest Nowak as he lay dying on the ground.
Bodycam footage, released with the family’s permission, has shown Nowak telling officers, “I’ve been stabbed” and “I can’t breathe” several times, but they refused to believe him, and he died shortly after. Following news that Digwa has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 21 years, Sir Keir took to social media to respond, describing the case as “awful and shocking” before saying his thoughts will always be with Novak’s friends and family.
His response has now been slammed by Ferrari, who compared the situation to the murder of George Floyd.
Speaking on his LBC radio show, he said: “You hear the young man saying ‘I can’t breathe’. Oh, that would be the same words as George Floyd in the US some years ago and what happened then?
“Well, we had the future prime minister taking the knee. We had football players taking the knee. Do you think we’ll see the same for this young white boy? No, me neither!
He questioned why the police initially “decided to take the story of the 25-year-old Sikh male over the dying 18-year-old white boy.
He added with heavy sarcasm: “When do you suppose the protest movement will start? When do you suppose Sir Keir will take the knee proudly, and all the football players, anytime soon? Don’t hold your breath!”

Reacting to Ferrari’s remarks, one person said: “Spot on, Nick. This is what everyone is thinking. The selective outrage, virtue signalling, and woke hypocrisy exposed in real time. No protests. No knee taking. Just silence. F*****g disgrace the lot of em!”
Another raged: “Everyone at the scene needs to be arrested for lying, the cops need to be fired for gross negligence and then arrested for letting an 18-year-old die alone on the floor. Poor, poor kid.”
Speaking outside Southampton Crown Court on Monday (June 1), Nowak’s father, Mark, said the way his son died was “inhumane and degrading”.
He said the actions of the police meant his son “did not die with dignity” and has called for a “full, fearless and transparent” investigation into the police handling of his son’s murder.
“Our family should not have to fight for the truth,” he added.
