The launch reflects growing demand for snack-sized products.

Cadbury is introducing a new version of its iconic Dairy Milk chocolate bar aimed at shoppers looking for a convenient snack while on the move. The new format, which is due to arrive in major supermarkets from July, features a resealable pack designed to make it easier for consumers to enjoy the chocolate in smaller portions throughout the day.

The 56g bars will be available in three popular varieties: Dairy Milk, Dairy Milk Marvellous Creations and Dairy Milk Chopped Fruit & Nut. Each bar will retail for £1.29. The launch reflects growing demand for snack-sized products, as more consumers choose to eat smaller portions between meals rather than sticking to traditional eating patterns.

Phoebe Morris, junior brand manager at Mondelez International, said: “Shoppers are looking for options that fit seamlessly into their routines, creating a strong opportunity for formats that deliver convenience without compromising on taste.

“Our Grab & Go bars bring the trusted Cadbury Dairy Milk taste into a format designed specifically for these high-frequency snacking moments.”

The new Grab & Go range will sit alongside Cadbury’s existing Duo bars and is not intended to replace them.

The company also rolled out a limited-edition Dairy Milk Strawberries & Creme Frappe bar earlier this month. The flavour was inspired by chilled drinks and the UK’s love of strawberries and cream ahead of the Wimbledon Championships.

Best enjoyed straight from the fridge, the new chocolate combines Cadbury Dairy Milk with a creamy filling inspired by a strawberries-and-cream frappé, according to the confectionery maker.

The launches come just days after Cadbury launched an investigation into ropy-looking chocolate 99 Flakes, following complaints from ice cream van owners over a surge in discoloured 99 Flakes.

They said a white tinge on the flaky chocolate sticks makes them look so unappealing that they are unsellable. Problems stem from wholesalers storing Flakes incorrectly in the recent UK heatwave, according to reports.
