This is “Biography.” Dan’s father, actor Eugene Levy, says he decided to raise his kids in Toronto to shield them from Hollywood. So Dan spent his teenage years working non-glamorous jobs.
Then Dan decided to go to film school. Dan says he avoided using his dad’s connections to land gigs. But when Dan had an idea for a comedy series about an eccentric family, he knew there was only one person who could help him create it– his dad. “I think for my dad it’s the ultimate dream. He’s giddy about the fact that we get to work together.” Their show was a hit. Turns out, for the Levy’s, show business is a family affair.
