Lee Anderson just dropped a massive truth bomb in the House of Commons! 💣 Quiet neighborhoods are turning into “danger zones” as shady investors take over. 🏚️ But it gets even darker… a secret 7-year contract is reportedly forcing local heroes out of their homes to make room for total strangers!
In a recent session at the UK House of Commons, Lee Anderson, the MP for Ashfield, delivered a striking speech warning of the decline of local communities driven by the proliferation of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) and current asylum policies.

Management Loopholes and Local Instability
Opening his remarks, Anderson stated that over the past six years, his office has received complaints from hundreds of families in Ashfield regarding the consequences of HMOs. He criticized the current establishment process as being far too lax, allowing anyone with capital to purchase cheap housing for business without requiring rigorous training or background checks.
According to the MP, this has enabled “out-of-town” investors to snap up properties and fill them with individuals he described as “criminals” or “addicts.” This situation has created a volatile living environment, forcing long-standing residents with the financial means to abandon their neighborhoods.
Consequences of Clearing Asylum Hotels
The core of the speech intensified as Anderson linked the HMO issue to the wave of immigration. Specifically, he criticized the efforts of both the current and previous governments to move illegal immigrants out of hotels and directly into local HMOs.
The Ashfield MP warned that placing large numbers of young men—whom he characterized as coming from “backward cultures”—into the heart of residential areas has caused extreme public anxiety. He cited instances where local women and young girls feel unsafe, with some even changing their school routes or fearing to leave their homes.
The Risk of Homelessness for Local Residents
Anderson leveled another serious allegation regarding private firms (mentioning Serco) securing 7-year HMO contracts to house illegal immigrants.
He argued that this policy not only drives up rental prices in Ashfield but also displaces local residents. He highlighted a specific case where nurses working at a local hospital were reportedly forced out of their HMO accommodations because the management company switched contracts to accommodate immigrants.
A Direct Call to the Government
Closing his speech, MP Anderson issued a firm demand to ministers, calling on the government to immediately cease placing illegal immigrants in HMOs. He further demanded the implementation of more aggressive detention and deportation measures to ensure the safety of women and girls across the United Kingdom.
