“I was pleased to meet what I thought would be new friends and was happy to hang out with them. I still can’t believe what he then did to me. He just took what he wanted from me.
“I went from having a great day to the worst day of my life.”
The woman told how she did not want to have sex “with anyone that day” and instead “just wanted to have some fun and enjoy the day.”
She added: “I feel like he set it up to get what he wanted and didn’t care what I wanted and that I didn’t want to have sex.
I want to just be able to forget all about it but I can’t. He has stolen my carefree and trusting nature.
“If I think about the man who did this I feel scared and I am terrified at ever seeing him again.
“I just don’t want him to ever do to anyone else what he did to me. I just want everyone else to be safe from him.”

A refugee raged “f*** England” as he was locked up for brutally raping a woman he met in a city centre park. Mohamed Ibrahim Harun, who arrived illegally in the UK “in the back of a lorry” invited the woman and others back to his accommodation in Sunderland, before he launched his violent sex attack on her in the kitchen.

Two hours later she was captured on CCTV as she fled the property and ran to the safety of a nearby shop. She called the police and reported that she had been raped.
Judge Scott said: “She said in the flat you had forced yourself upon her. She describes you having raped her in the kitchen.
“She said she didn’t want to have sex with you and describes you being all over her and that the sex was forceful and hurt.”
Harun was arrested and initially denied having sex with the woman but later changed his story and claimed they had consensual sex.
In an impact statement the victim said: “I don’t want to, but every day I think about what happened to me that day and what he did to me.
“On the day it happened I remember being in such a good mood and having fun with my friends, I had been drinking and enjoying the sun.

David Callan, defending, said Harun, who has no other convictions, did not agree with the verdict of the jury but “accepts it”.
Mr Callan said Harun was born in Sudan and had a basic education at an elementary school, where they memorised the Quran, but seems to be illiterate.
Mr Callan added: “His entry into the UK, as the probation officer says, was unorthodox, in the back of a lorry. He immediately received refugee status.”
Detective Inspector Martin Cottle, of Northumbria’s Rape Investigation Team, said: “Firstly, I want to praise the victim-survivor in this case for her bravery.
“She was preyed on in a horrific way because her attacker thought she was vulnerable – but she has shown immense strength to come forward.
“Thanks to her courageous actions, we were able to provide enough evidence to secure a charge two days later, which has ultimately resulted in this dangerous perpetrator being brought to justice.”

He added: “We would encourage anyone who has been the victim of any form of sexual abuse – no matter when it took place – to come forward.
“We will listen, and we will treat you with empathy, compassion and respect. We want our message to be a clear one – we are here for you.”
