GB News presenter Alex Armstrong didn’t hold back as he laid into the Labour MP.

Labour minister Nick Thomas-Symonds was left squirming live on GB News as he was questioned about the murder of Henry Nowak. Nowak, 18, was stabbed to death in December 2025, but police who were called to the scene did not believe him when he told them of his injuries and repeatedly said, “I can’t breathe”.
GB News anchor Alex Armstrong didn’t hold back as he questioned Thomas-Symonds on why he had stayed silent on social media, for the minister to explain: “Because we have all been conscious, as government ministers, not to say things whilst a trial is ongoing, because here in the United Kingdom when we’ve got those trials ongoing, government ministers saying things can affect the outcome-“
Armstrong quickly cut him off, fuming: “The trial finished yesterday. Minister, the trial finished yesterday. You haven’t posted anything.
“The home secretary hasn’t posted anything. The prime minister caved into pressure yesterday. Nothing from many members of your party, who are very openly supporting George Floyd, nothing from you guys.
“Do you not feel ashamed, that you haven’t shown the same sympathy for a man in America as an innocent young boy in Britain?”
Thomas-Symonds was indignant as he replied: “I really don’t accept that, at all, what you are saying about the level of sympathy. I haven’t posted on my Twitter, X, overnight – I’m here out on the media round giving my views on this matter first thing this morning.

“That was a heinous and harrowing crime. My thoughts are with Henry’s friends and Henry’s family.
“It is quite right that the police have questions to answer, absolutely, about how they behaved at the scene. That is why the Independent Office for Police Conduct is quite rightly looking at this.
“The perpetrator in this case lied and lied and lied. Seeing that minimum sentence of 21 years yesterday, my thoughts were that, yes, at least he had been convicted after trial and will face justice, but my absolute sympathy is with the family and the friends of Henry. It was heinous to read what happened in this quite appalling crime.”
