The nation is in absolute disbelief after Hampshire Constabulary finally authorized the release of the final moments of 18-year-old Henry Nowak.
Harrowing Police Bodycam Footage Released Showing Final Moments of Murdered Teen Henry Nowak
Hampshire Constabulary has authorized the public release of highly distressing police body-worn camera footage showing the final moments of 18-year-old Henry Nowak, who died after being fatally stabbed by Vikram Digua.
The footage, previously shown during Digua’s murder trial, captures the controversial police response that has triggered national outrage and accusations of “two-tier policing.”

The Bodycam Footage
The raw video shows responding officers arriving at a residential driveway to find Nowak lying on the ground, bleeding heavily from the mouth and slipping in and out of consciousness. A bystander immediately informs the officers that the teenager is bleeding.
In the footage, Nowak can be heard clearly telling an officer, “I’ve been stabbed.” The officer responds: “I don’t think you have, mate.”
The camera then shows officers briefly speaking to Digua, who claims he has a swollen eye and that his turban had been knocked off during an altercation. Without conducting a physical medical check on the bleeding teenager, officers return to Nowak, turn him over in the gravel, and force his arms behind his back to apply handcuffs.
As the handcuffs are secured, Nowak can be heard rasping, “I can’t breathe.” An officer proceeds to formally arrest the dying teenager for assault, reading him his rights as he loses consciousness. The footage concludes with an officer requesting an ambulance for a male who has been “beat up,” before an officer observes: “His pupils aren’t even reacting.”
National Outrage and Calls for Prosecution
The release of the footage has intensified severe public and political backlash. During a broadcast of the footage on GB News, commentators expressed horror at the officers’ actions. The network’s host demanded criminal prosecutions for the officers involved, characterizing the incident as “the worst example of woke, two-tier policing.”
Commentators highlighted the extreme contrast in treatment between the victim and the perpetrator, noting that Digua—who had just committed the murder and lied to police—was never handcuffed and was reportedly allowed to choose food from his kitchen while under arrest.
Political Fallout
The footage has also fueled political attacks directed at Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Conservative media figures have heavily criticized the Prime Minister for his delayed response to the tragedy, contrasting his swift social media posts regarding football results with his failure to address the Nowak murder until late Monday evening.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) investigation into the officers’ actions remains ongoing. Nowak’s family has publicly confirmed that while some officers involved have resigned, others remain on active duty pending the investigation’s conclusion.
